Feeling quite taken with Dazzle Ships' blog and patterns, sspecially the garter-stitch swing sweater, which I might make in the purple cascade I originally bought for a vest. (No project is for sure until the yarn is knit into something, and sometimes not even then: I've been eying the my green Liesl cardigan, which is kind of unflattering and lame compared the second Liesl I made, and taking up precious drawer space).
Dazzleships also gave me an idea for how to use the two skeins of Noro silk garden I was gifted a while ago. I was thinking of making them into fingerless gloves come winter, but her Candy Stripe Noro sweater has me thinking otherwise. It's a good way of incorporating Noro colours without making some kind of technicolour dreamcoat. Now I just have to find a solid colour that looks decent with lime, teal, grey and black.
I'm also kind of dying to make the Yarniad's Betty Minisweater in some brightly coloured cotton blend. I bought a similar sweater from H&M recently (teal with a smocked front, cheap acrylic). It's very va va voom, which I think I need more of. I just earned my Master's in librarianship, surely it's time for the busty 50's knits to come out?
